2006 Rockin Rooster PORT

Rich, rocky red soil and the very warm region so needed for Cabernet this vineyard near Glen Ellen produces a Sonoma Valley dessert wine with layers of mocha and deep fruit. We balance this with ample French Oak under tones and just a kiss of sweetness. With a goal of having this dessert slightly less sweet than traditional PORT we stop the fermentation with high quality Brandy made from Old Vine Zin pomace by St. George Spirits.
